As a trainer, instructor and competitive show rider, I have
ridden many breeds of horses and have ridden in a variety of
saddles in all my years of riding.
As a competitive rider have the right saddle fit and equipment
makes all the difference in how your horse performs in the show ring.
A year ago I was introduced to Forestier Ilium CSO Mono Flap. Keep
in mind I was quite content with my current show jumping saddle however
I noticed a huge difference especially over the 4’ 3” level jumps.
Having a strong, big and powerful horse that would occasionally
launch me slightly out of the saddle over the big oxers, I found I
didn’t have that problem at all in the Forestier. Its unique mono
flap design allows for a tighter lower leg contact, shorter girth
no bulk it is truly a brilliant concept.
Curiosity had me and I began to try the Forestier show jumping and
dressage saddles out on various training horses in my program,
each and every horse showed a significant improvement in freedom
and looseness through their backs and shoulders and over all relaxation
in the horses movements.

ILIUM CSO MONOFLAP: Jumper/Eventing
|
This saddle was designed specifically for the Jumper and Event rider!
If you want a close contact ride and a balanced leg position over the
jumps, this is the saddle!! It has a medium deep seat for comfort
and versatility and mono flap for greater closeness. Wide & full
knee pads with a knee roll inserted at the top give you all the
comfort you need plus help secure your upper leg over the jump.
Small calf blocks have been added for more leg support.
This model offers exactly the same specs as the Ilium CSO double flaps
but it comes in a Chocolate, Havana or Hazelnut color.
The saddle was designed in collaboration with Aurelien Kahn,
French international event rider.

ILIUM CSO: Hunter/Jumper

A saddle of great craftsmanship with a classic European look!
Medium deep seat and flexible tree are just some of the many
attributes of this model specifically created for the pro and
for the amateur riders looking for a performance saddle. The
various lengths and widths of the flaps will accommodate any
length of legs and stirrups. Totally hand made at the factory,
using only the latest technology and the highest grade materials
available, you will immediately feel very comfortable and balanced!
Seat sizes available: 16.5 - 17 - 17.5 – 18. Flap length : short,
standard & long. Flap width: A1 A2 A3 A4. Colors : tobacco for
grained leather / Havana or hazelnut for doubled calfskin model.
Knee blocks on the front and calf blocks on the under flaps
Tree is laminated wood with spring steel. Seat is injected foam
+ nylon webbing. Panels are polyester felt + plastozote foam.
Regular size tree is 9.6” – it can be narrowed or enlarged.

ILIUM DRESSAGE
|
100% hand made in Segonzac, France, this model is offered only with
the highest grade of French calfskin for exceptional comfort! The
design allows the rider to easily find an upright posture while the
legs fall instantly into a natural balanced position. With a seat
not so deep and medium size knee rolls the rider can maintain a
correct position without ever feeling constricted. The mono flap
adds closeness to the ride!
Seat sizes available: 16.5 – 17- 17.5 – 18. Flap sizes: short, standard and long.
Colors : black, Havana or Hazelnut
Knee pads with medium size built in knee blocks
Tree is laminated wood with spring steel. Seat is constructed
with 2 types of foam + epoxy filling and nylon webbing. Panels
are felt and plastozote foam.
