UNLV EQUESTRIAN CLUB NEWS

We have offically started the UNLV Equestrian Club this is open to students and alumni of all Nevada Colleges: UNLV, College of Southern Nevada, Nevada State College and Pima. Our goal is to develop an Intercollegiate Equestrian team for College of Southern Nevada Students and UNLV Students in disciplines of dressage, eventing, hunter, jumper and equitation. You do not have to own a horse to participate in the club or on the intercollegiate team, intercollegiate is open to riders with disabilities and without. Talisman Farm provides an array of lesson horses for all levels of riders as well as student discount on lessons. USEF EQUESTRIAN ATHLETE PROGRAM

We are currently working on getting this program up and running. So we will keep everyone posted. From USEF " The new High School Equestrian Athlete program is open to equestrian athletes in all breeds or disciplines who are enrolled in grades 9-12, and are currently USEF members, or become USEF members. The program will run June 1–May 31 of each year, and will honor those who document their training and competition involvement by awarding emblems and pins."
