Welcome

EQUESTRIAN ART
" To practice equestrian art is to establish a conversation on a higher level with a horse; a dialogue of courtesy and finesse." ~ Nuno Oliveria
Welcome to Talisman Farm. To be successful in the show ring a rider must be taught fundamentally in Dressage in order to understand the biomechanics of the horse and how a horse should be ridden round. A horse ridden classically correct should be ridden in a basic snaffle bit with a rider taught to ride the horse correctly as well. The horse should be trained in classical dressage gymnastics to develop mentally and physically then introduced to jumping where as the jumping round should be ridden with the same elegance & finesse as one would ride a dressage test.
I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to clinic and learn from several Olympic level riders and international coaches and to have grown up with many great riding instructors in the Pacific Northwest which enables me to bring forth these years of hands on experience and incorporating the European Classical Training system into my training and lesson program.
My clientele is diverse & includes; children & adult beginners, and intermediate level competitors. Riding instruction and training program is catered specifically to each horse & riders abilities , conducted in private and semi private lesson format only to insure quality one on one instruction.
Training methodology has been collaborated with my personal dressage coach- classical Master Will Faerber, I have trained, ridden and shown various breeds of horses over the yeas from x-race horses, arabians, quarter horses to warmbloods and find the time be an active competitor in showing my own personal horses in dressage, hunter/jumpers and three day eventing.
Talisman Farm has occasional openings for goal oriented pleasure or show riders, who want to dedicate themselves to learning the art of European Classical Riding. Call to schedule an appointment to audit lesson and training programs. "Solid Foundation for Future Success"
Sincerely,
Esther M.E. Hillner
